Machine and hand floor cleaning for tile, vinyl and sealed concrete in commercial spaces.

Every customer, employee and delivery crosses the floor, so it takes more wear than any other surface and shows it first. A floor with a worn-out finish looks dirty even right after mopping, which is why floor care is its own discipline and not just a bigger mop.
In Bridgeport, older commercial space often has vinyl composition tile, and winter adds a second problem: road salt dries into a white haze on dark tile and eats at the finish near entrances. Those two things together are why a floor that was fine in October can look dull by March.
Floor care has two levels. Regular machine cleaning keeps the existing finish in good shape; stripping and waxing resets it when cleaning no longer helps. We do both, and we will tell you honestly which one your floor actually needs.
Start with floor cleaning if the finish is still sound. Choose stripping and waxing if it has worn through or turned yellow.

Old finish stripped off and fresh wax applied to bring tired floors back.
Learn more →Floor work is a core part of what G.H. Cleaning Services, LLC does: stripping floors, putting new finish on them, and cleaning tile and vinyl by machine. It is a hands-on trade with a lot of ways to cut corners, such as too few coats, rushed rinsing and not enough drying time, and we plan the schedule so none of those shortcuts are needed.
If your carpeted areas need attention in the same visit, see our carpet cleaning services.
Floor cleaning removes everyday soil from the finish that is already on the floor. Stripping removes that old finish entirely, along with the embedded dirt and scuffs, and waxing applies a fresh protective layer. Cleaning is maintenance; stripping and waxing is a reset.
Common signs are a dull or yellowed look that cleaning no longer fixes, black scuff marks that will not lift, heavy buildup along edges and corners, and finish that has worn through in the main walking paths. If cleaning stops improving the floor, it is usually time to look at a strip.
We clean commercial hard floors such as tile and vinyl, and we strip and wax floors that are designed to carry a finish. Tell us what your floor is when you call and we will confirm what is appropriate for it before quoting.
Fresh finish needs time to dry between coats and to cure afterward. We agree on a closed window during scheduling and tell you how long to keep heavy traffic and rolling carts off the floor, so the finish is not scuffed on day one.
Routine floor cleaning often can. Stripping and waxing normally cannot happen around customers because of wet floors, fumes from strippers and drying time, so those jobs are scheduled for evenings, weekends or a planned closure that you pick.
