A mopped floor and a cleaned floor are not the same thing. Mopping moves surface soil around; floor cleaning lifts it. On commercial tile and vinyl, that means working a cleaner into the surface, loosening the grime that sits in grout and along edges, and rinsing so no film is left to attract the next round of dirt.
Bridgeport floors have one problem that is specific to the season. From late fall through winter, road salt walks in on shoes and dries into a white haze, most visibly on dark tile. Left alone, it dulls the floor and the finish, so we clean the salt off properly and rinse instead of covering it with more product.
Square footage and floor type come first, followed by how soiled the floor is and how long it has been since the last deep cleaning. Obstacles like fixed counters and tight rooms slow the machine, and the schedule matters too: floors in a business that must stay open are cleaned in sections or outside hours. A floor with a worn finish may be quoted for stripping and waxing instead of just cleaning.
Floors are a core part of the business, from machine cleaning to floor stripping and waxing. We tell you whether your floor needs cleaning or a full reset instead of selling the bigger job by default.
We clean commercial floors in Bridgeport and nearby towns including Bridgeport and Trumbull.
Usually it is residue: too much cleaner, dirty mop water or a mop that is spreading soil instead of lifting it. A floor that is also dull from a worn finish will look cloudy no matter how well it is mopped. Rinsing properly and using clean water fixes the first problem; a strip and wax fixes the second.
Winter road salt dries into a pale film on tile and vinyl, especially near entrances. Cleaning with the right solution and rinsing thoroughly removes it from the surface. If the salt has already dulled the finish, the floor may need restoring as well.
It depends on traffic. A busy entry or a retail floor needs a scrub far more often than a quiet back office. In between, daily or weekly mopping keeps the surface in shape, and we can set a machine-scrub schedule by zone.
Yes. Wet floor signs go up when a floor is being cleaned and stay up until it is safe to walk on, which matters for both your staff and your customers.
Routine mopping is part of janitorial service and keeps the floor presentable. Dedicated floor cleaning goes further with machine scrubbing, edge and corner work and a deeper rinse, and is done on a longer cycle.
